newbie with a problem

Unless an Admin can offer you assistance to be honest I don't think you can. You would probably need to delete your account under this username and start again.
 
It's possible to edit your avatar picture and signature line from your own profile page but I don't know how a forum username can be changed.
I'll try to find out for you.
