Hi All, we are Bob and Sue but before anyone asks we don't know Rita!We have a 5 month old Golden Retreiver and hail from Sheffield. We are new to caravanning and purchased our "pride and joy" 1990 Elddis Cyclone in January towing with a 1996 Ford Maverick. We've already had a weekend away and look forward to our next outing in a couple of weeks to Shardaroba. We'd appreciate any information/ recommendations of any site bars/clubs or nearby pubs that would welcome us and our trusty canine companion after a long walk.

Hi Bob/Sue

We have been to Shardaroba twice now, its a bit chilly up there as its on high ground. Lovely site and very nice wardens. The toilets and showeres are excellent.

As for pubs you can't miss the Canarvon Arms as its on the corner as you turn for the caravan site. These have lots off menus at good prices. About 10 minutes walk away at the Teversal visitors centre is a Club/Restruant called Teversal Grange the food here is very good, and they have entertainment on as well. The prices here are also very reasonable.

Just across the road from the caravan site is excellent for taking your dog a walk, its all reclaimed mining land from Silverdale colliery and Teversal I think.

Regards Jim

Regards

Bob.

Try the Caravan CLubs site at Elvaston Castle... it's set on the outskirts of a lovely country park. Fantastic for dog walking.
