newbies

Hello everyone. We are new to this site and indeed caravanning, although we are keen campers and caravanned with grandparents for years. We have a young son and having a caravan seemed an easier option than trying to erect tents and amuse a child!!!
We have purchased an Elddis Avante 576 special edition Rambler with a motor mover chucked in for free. We don't get the 'van til June but we are very much looking forward to many happy holidays in her.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Please see my post for help with locks for bunk windows....
Thank you

Hello and welcome from a fellow newbie,
Having also been a camper for many years, I am loving the comfort of our van with cosy heating and a decent bed - a far cry from the many cold uncomfortable nights and damp mornings in a tent!
I think with a little one you will find rainy days much easier as you can stay warm and cosy and do some indoor activities with them.
Congratulations on your first caravan, not too much longer to wait till you get her and I am sure you will have many happy times ahead.
🙂

Welcome from a novice ,,we've found this site to be very useful and informative so don't hesitate to ask,,there's always plenty of advice available,,and enjoy your van.

Welcome films. You made the right decision buying a caravan. Tents are great but nowhere near as warm and dry. Brilliant holiday for children. Lots of advice on here. Just ask.
