Newby EHU Query!

Hi
We have a 2000 Abbey Expression 470.

If we use a EHU,will that power the fresh water pump,or is that 12v only?
Also when on site do i leave the pump switch on the control panel, set to on all the time?
Or do you only turn it on when waters needed? Or do they only kick in when theres a demand?
Many thanks
Pierre.

The water pump (s) are 12v.
When on EHU the van charger charges the battery as power is used from the battery.
As far as leaving the pump switch on is concerned, it is a matter of personal preference but it is always better to turn it off if leaving the van for any period of time just in case there is a problem and the pump keeps running, flooding the van or burning out.

Normally the water pump is controlled by either a pressure switch or by microswitches in each tap.

We don't turn the pump off when leaving the van for the day; but we live dangerously.. :woohoo: 😗
