Hi Bob,

I actually work for Discover Leisure in Newport and not Newport Caravans.

Posting removed as the poster was actually referring to an entirely different dealer than the one in the original posting.

It would appear that there are , or were, two similarly named companies, one of which has been taken over and that the original posting is referring to the one not taken over.

Please note that Newport Caravans and Discover Newport are two totally different/separate companies. Until one gets to the end of your posting do they realise that you are talking about Discover and not the caravan company in the initial posting. It is misleading.

I know it is a good 50 miles west of Newport but we have had wonderful treatment from Sunnyhaven Caravans Sales at Gorseinon. We have bought two caravans from them and each time we had first class service and an excellent deal. They are dealers for Bailey Caravans. Mr. Ian Fern is the manager and the person to deal with - excellent customer manners. They have a sister company in Swansea (Blazers) but their performance is not up to the same standards as Sunnyhaven. We have no connection with this company apart from being satisfied customers.

Thanks Colin for the advice we are local so wanted to buy localy, we have bought one from Discover Newport - now this is a proper caravan sales site. Lots of choice everything was clean and the staff were not pushy, huge shop and I can see why they are doing so much business - did the deal with Alan he couldnt have been more helpfull and patient with all our questions. Bought a one owner Elddis Odyssey and had a starter pack and awning thrown in with 12 months warranty fully serviced - we are so pleased. We are picking it up next saturday so look out we for a very nervous newbie on the roads. Ha ha. Now if the sun comes out this summer as well - who could ask for more.
