Hi there

Now here an idea to get your teeth into break down recovery all the pro and con,s. Show us the caravaning public what you get for your money from each one of these services AA, RAC, Green Flag etc.

This should make some very interesting reading. Hope you take up this issue.

Best regards keep up the good work Steve.

You'd actually have to put them to the test though, practically I mean. They all seem to promise so much, and many deliver so little when you actually have to call them out! Before buying any of this cover it's always worthwhile finding out, from those who've actually had to use the service, how good it actually was. This is why Red Pennant generally comes out on top with caravanners - because it does actually deliver what it promises.

Agree that would be most interesting - although we probably already know the answer!!

Both the AA & RAC are basically "insurance companies" these days.

I broke down last year on a business trip and had various cover (through Lloyds TSB Card) with AA, my colleague with RAC via his card. We phoned both to make sure and who turned up?? Green Flag - I said I had better phone in to cancel the other callout and he said not to bother because no matter who I called I would still have got his Green Flag recovery truck.

Since then will only bother with Green Flag who have been excellent on several occasions. More than I can say for AA.
