OK, we've discussed fixed versus convertible beds, mattress toppers, duvet versus sleeping bag.

Only one question left in this department....

What do you wear in bed? And is it different to at home?

To kick it off I wear, as I have done all my life, absolutely nothing.

In the van I keep a pair of shorts and a fleece handy in case I need to get up in the night to visit the facilities or redo awning pegs. Shorts slip on much more easily than trousers, and I only bother with the fleece in cold weather.

Same as you Oldfogey, as I do at home, winter or summer, nowt, not even Brut heh! heh!

Do they still sell pyjamas? Her Ladyship does put the electric blanket on in winter though to take the chill off and stop herself getting goose pimples :O)

Diamonds!
But where do you wear them, Lisa? Like most people, I wear nowt, which got very embarrasing once when the guy in the next van was taken ill in the night. His wife screamed for help, and I leapt up and ran out to help! Fortunately, Herself followed me out with a pair of shorts.

emmerson, didn't you notice when we met up in June? LOL!

God, your story reminds me of the time the fox was after one of our rabbits, Phil ran outside in the middle of the night with no clothes on, blimey, such a shock for the neighbours..

I also go to bed in my birthday suit - been doing it for years. Never thought of problems or even bed hopping. Now with this in mind I will retire to bed with a wishful grin on my face. Could be like d*****g on a caravan site. LOL

Quote Colyn ap Brydgynd ... "Could be like d*****g on a caravan site".

For your info Colyn people haven't dug on caravan sites since cassette toilets.

I to retire to my bed chamber with nothing on except a "i love u dear" look on my face and puppy dog eyes and a big bucket load of hope....Hang on that was my dream the other night, must stop getting imaginary and reality mixed up lol.....Anyway by the sound of things from everyone else we could start a new craze, naturist caravanning by night???? it would be that dark no one would have to worry about being embarrased lol.....any ideas????

Its amazing. I'm pretty new to this caravaning lark and from my short experience of seeing people to and fro-ing to the shower blocks I thought grandmas pj's or nighty with a heavy coat was order of the day whatever the weather. My wife thought this was a strict dress code and has even taken to wearing the coat at home during the night. Guess I better show her this topic. Have had some concerns though, some of the people we've been pitched next to, hope I don't meet them in the middle of the night, but will sleep happier knowing its ok to sleep in the wifes tights after all.
