NIGHTMARE CARAVANERS

We've just returned from a holiday in the Peak District and had a nightmare experience with nosy neighbours on our site. They wouldn't leave us alone about the bloody recycling, even though we know what we are doing thank you very much! Ironically SOMEONE left a tea bag under our caravan. I know they are biodegradable but PLEASE!

We came away to get away from this kind of petty mindedness. Anyone else out there had any similar experiences with other vanners?

Yes just got back from a 4 week tour. On one cc site we had a couple next to us going on about recycling and global warming. Even jokeing would not shut them up.

Recycling---I gave up riding a bike years ago.

Global warming---Save money on central heating.

Some people just have to jump on the latest bandwagon and never shut up about it.

It is the ame with the english language.

First we had the really really brigade!

Next everything was awesome!

Now everthing and every person is iconic!

I've found that the "in" word at the moment is "basically". Just watch how many people actually say it and start off a sentence with it. Little things like this shouldn't get to me but it's cracking me up ..... waaaaaaaaaaa. It's even pushed "absolutely" into second place :O(

Another one, and Beckham probably is the worse when being interviewed, is "y'know". If people knew would they be bl**dy asking in the first place? .....Grrrrrrrrrr.

The thing that annoys me to death at the moment, is, people who use "of" instead of "have" - I could of had porridge for breakfast!!! Grrrrrr!!!!

Agree with that, could of, would of etc drive me nuts! Same people often say I'm bored of that.

I find the in word at the moment is 'Issues' nobody has problems any more its always issues. Once you notice it . . . .!

You lot must lead a boring life picking holes on other people's diction. Y'know I basically have absolutly no time in the day to worry about such trivia - there are far greater issues in life to consider. Blimy get a life and stop having nightmares so worrever you are doing right know find something more interesting. Basically Norfolk Mike, at the end of the day I must take issue with you over our awesome language y'know. It's being abused y'know, it's a nightmare, absolutely y'know, it really is . No longer are some of the words used in speech fit for purpose for what is being said y'know. Some people need to go out and get a life and learn proper grammar y'know instead of basically using the same few words. At least they could of listened more at school. This is the truth, absolutely..... hmmmm y'know.

Sorry you must excuse me, Valarie from another thread on midges said brewers yeast keeps midges at bay. So I decided to have a couple of Speckled Hens to see if it works. Mind you living on the NE Coast I may be a while looking for midges to see if it really works.!!!!!!!!!!

on the haven site at hopton in a mobile home(spitting) neighbors come back from club with 3 children at 12.30 children running round outside tipsy sounding parents trying to get them in making more noise than the children.They were quiet on sat night and left on Sunday also owner opposite left large Makita radio blaring on Radio 1 outside on grass then went inside turned it off when I asked him luckily.Dont fancy arguing with drunks late night.
