nissan navara

We would be gratefull if anyone could offer advice/opinions of towing with a Nissan Navara. we have a bailey carolina and the Navara would be multi purpose vechile for both work & pleasure.

Thank you

Hi Debbie,

We tow our Ace with an all up weight of around 1500kg with a Navara, and must say is is a very good tug, plenty of poke, very comfy and extremely versatile. It seems made for towing. Downsides are the size of the thing, especially when parking in a public carpark and poor fuel ecomomy but it has only done 2000 miles and is auto, so hoping for some improvement. Recently got 16.8mpg returing from Sandringham, so it likes a drink..

We bought a Navara to tow our Baileys Provonce with and are very pleased with it. Last weekend we were at the Redhill cc site and managed to get an avarage of 25-26 mpg driving to/from the IW which I did not think was too bad.

It doesn't have the best turning circle and the Sat Nav could be better.

Debbie,

Strong suggestion that you look at the other caravan forums - several people have had a few problems because the Renault sourced parts don't seem to be as reliable as one would like.

another bonus is any bikes or bulky items can go straight in the back , i am thinking of getting one myself
