No Dogs and Children

I see that the Caravan Club is going to trial Dog and Children free weeks and weekends at their sites.

Two weeks and two weekends in summer will be dog and child free and then a winter and spring week and weekends are planned according to their website.

No dogs, will be good (no yip yap and woofing, BLISS) and the caravan and car safe from balls, kites and grubby sticky fingers will make a change.

This has to be a April fools joke,if not the caravan club have lost the plot.Caravaning is supposed to a activity all the family can enjoy kids and dogs if you don't like kids and dogs stay at home.

It reads as though they want to attract back people who do stay away from CC sites to avoid dogs and children.

I guess they have to cater for all the members and are just responding to members requests and concerns.

Hee hee, we can't even hitch our caravan up until the dogs in the car as she barks and barks and caravanning without children around would be pretty sad.

A bit late but worth a try ;

April Fool it may be, but it's a good idea nevertheless - no dogs, children or under-50s at certain sites - I'll email Trevor Watson and suggest it.

I think this should pave the way for all sorts of themed weeks at the CC. First have seperate weeks banning all the things anyone on this forum has ever moaned about. So no barbecues, no washing hung out, no women with loud cackling laughs, no wind breaks, no walking across other people's pitches, no women in dressing gowns, no blokes with hairy backsides bending over. (Yes I really should spend less time reading this and get a life). Then if there are any weeks left over have positive weeks catering for our hobbies and interest: so a dogs compulsory week, an IT week, moaning about Top gear week, a week where everyne repeatedly checks their nose weight or relaminates the floor, a welsh week, and just for Lord B a week where "performance enhancing" substances are free. It all might justify their pricing policy. 🙂

Sorry Mel, I don't mind trying the others but must disagree with you about wind breaks. I must have my constitutional first thing in the morning else I feel bloated :O(

Mel, here's an idea for you :

Hw about a site that would only allow adults with children, & dogs. All children should play ball games (no sponge balls alowed) kites are compulsary, err can't think of any others

Oh and the adults have to be under 40 !!!

There that should cause a stir !! 🙂
