no hot water

Hello all, I foolishly connected my battery cables up the wrong way around and fused the van. I have replaced 20amp in line fuse and checked all the other fuses and we still are getting no hot water, everything else is working fine. I think it is a Truma water heater, the van is a Sprite Major 2008 model. Anyone have any ideas of what I may have damaged?
 
Richard, the Truma water heater should work on 240v if nothing else as it is a direct connection from distribution panel to element.

If it not working on gas, then you have probably fried the electronics board.

In that event, you need a truma engineer to sort it out.
