no power

just bought new battery for my recently purchesed sterling eccles elite sercher, but am getting no power at all.Phoned dealer he said there is a immobiliser on the key fob that powers everything up,but i need to be connected to the mains for this to work. Does this sound right as on my old ace all the lights all worked of the battery. Even the alarm is not working.

PS. Does the extention lead from house mains give out the same current as a site hook up as i need to bring my van home to power it up. Thanks jonah

Jonah,

I have an Ace Supreme and I had a similar problem the last time I changed the battery over. The fuse under the front seat where the leads come in from the battery box had blown.

Now when I swap the battery over I always remove this fuse first
