Northern Ireland Caravanners

Hey you two - this is a caravan forum and not a lonely hearts club. Liz you are now siding up to Jason because I do not know how to do these little personal messages to touch your heart. I am personally and deaply hurt by your ways.

Half a more now Jason - a big hug from Liz - YES. I don't think it is appropriate on a family orientated forum for two males to be giving each other a big hug. Also I have had "funny" remarks made before about me - don't give them call to start all over again hehehehe In other words keep your hugs for the female contributors of the forum in future. OK honkytonk.

I assumed you would realise that it was in the tough male bonding real bloke kind of way. With press reports on seven young Bridgenders untimely ends I didn't want to risk you saying

as pangs of rejections set in.

I think a NI or all Ireland forum would be a good idea.

Where as other Welsh, Scottish, Cornish etc etc are not really necessary.

The reason being NI is isolated by a too expensive, long and not too comfortable ferry crossing for rallies etc.

So any NI club or member does need to have a primary focus on activities in NI/Ireland with perhaps longer trips to the rest of the UK or further afield.

Which is why posters from NI tend to draw attention to their location.

I live in the West country and our centre enjoys guests on rallies from Wales, the Midlands and much further afield because they can still be on site within a couple of hours without any major delays/costs - this is not the case for NI caravanners wanting to attend any other region/centres rallies.

I know the ferry trips as I have a brother who lives in NI.

For the NI vanners

At my brothers wedding reception I went to the bar several times asking for a Norwegian before I realised they were asking for a "nor wee gin", I don't know what the barman thought when I was asking for it!
thanks for your comments jeremy clark son - we are very isolated over here! and we do not have such a big choice of caravan sites and it is nice to chat to people and get recommendations as sometimes the description in magazines/brochures does not show the whole picture. We also love travelling in the South of Ireland it is so beautiful but some sites can be very remote.

cheers gail

I agree with Lord B I think a Northern Ireland topic heading would be a great idea. I feel more people may contibute if it was specifically for N Ireland and it would be much easier to find relevant threads. We are growing! So please your moddyship take pitty on us and give us a our own little spot on the pc forum.

Thanks

Karen
