Can anyone recommend a CL in Northumberland, Alnwick/Wooler/Seahouses area. We have stayed at CC sites in Northumberland but thought we would try some CLs this time ......... Easy access would be an advantage!

Left Westfield just outside of Seahouses last Friday after a nice 7 days. Nice site plenty of space and 15 minute walk from beach. Grass and electric but no toilet and showers. There is another CL about 800 m away nearer ther the sea but cannot remember the name something like Fowberry. Try looking it up on the CC. Website.

I too was looking for a CL in Northumberland for this Oct, most, inc. Westfield, seem to have lengthy single track roads to negotiate with few passing places?
The reviews on Brock Mill farm near Holy island and the Berwick club site are a bit mixed.

We approached Westfield by going up the A1 to the last exit for Bamburgh which brings you in on the coast road at Warren Mill. This skirts Bamburghs street with double parking. Then go south on the coast road passing the Shoreston turn and taking the next right to North Sunderland. After about 1 mile on the outskirts of North Sunderland turn right near the small industrial estate signed for the local recycle centre. This road is straight and has visibility and passing spots right up to Westfield which is about 3/4 mile along the road. No problems on this route which adds a few miles compared to taking the first A1 exit for Seahouses but saves time and hassle as you are still cruising on the A1 at a better speed than the local narrow routes to Seahouses. Westfields own route advise follows my route but takes you off the coastal road one turn earlier along a lane that's got passing spots but is twisty so you don't get full visibility of on coming traffic.

Thanks, I will plot that out.

Is that near Carlisle?
Not quite Jo-Anne,
He's looking at the North East Coast, Carlisle lies to the North West in Cumbria / Cumberland as was.
However Hadrian's Wall links them.
