Nose Weight

Hi all,

Can anybody tell me how to check the Nose Weight for car and caravan?

I have a Mondeo 2 litre diesel and a Bailey Expression, if anybody knows already that would even better.

The max nose weight for a Mondeo is 75kg, to check the nose weight for you caravan use a bathroom scale.

Hi Peter,

Following on from Yungshian, get your van on level ground, place your bathroom scales under the towball with a piece of floor board accross the scales to spread the weight (your wife wont thank you if you bend them).

Measure the distance from the coupling to the scales & cut a piece of broom handle to fit, then weigh the "nose".

By moving the heavy objects sightly forwards or backwards of the axle you should acheive 75kgs nose weight
