Nose Weights

Hello Everyone,

Could anyone tell me the difference between Nose weight, and Tongue weight? Is it that in U.K we call it Nose and in America/Australia they call it Tongue Weight.(just cause they like to be different). Many Thanks in advance Craig

The short answer is there ain't no difference. Actually, the term "tongue weight" stems more from drawbar couplings used mainly on HGV trailers rather than ball couplings that we are more familiar with. Officially, it is called neither noseweight nor tongue weight, but "static vertical load on the coupling point".
