How was the maiden voyage?

Any problems ?

We have a few minor issues on the Wyoming which will be fixed very soon. All silly things and nothing that stopped our fun. Actually some are outside manufacturers fault eg stiff or weak blinds. Others are sticky doors etc.

Look forward to your next trip.

Cheers

hi alan, the van is great. the only issues we found were the letter g is missing off the lettering sterling on the mirror and the satalite connection needs to be checked. we are really pleased with this van so far.

The only thing i would be picky about and i am being picky is the tv entertainment unit is really cheap and flimsy and would be better being a 17" or even better a 19" and better quality and the microwave could have been a digital and not dials.

I just felt i had bought a top of the range van and got with it a bottom of the range tv and microwave.

You never know if swift read this they might take my points into consideration for future builds.

dorset was beautiful couldnt have picked a better week in feb weather great all week apart from today. great run down 3 hours rubbish trip back 5 hours. would def go back again theres so much more i want to do there and didnt get enough time.

Hi Jo-anne

Glad you enjoyed Dorset. It's a lovely place and the coastal walks wear out the dogs , in the end!

The tv supplied with our Wyoming isn't too bad but the sound isn't that good. Why don't the manufacturers give us a choice . I'd rather pay a few quid more for a half decent tv rather than a cheapskate job. We cheated last week and took our usual lcd tv which we link to the sky box and sat dish. Our bathroom door jammed and one of the wardrobe locks jammed.Being fixed in a few weeks.

Off to malvern again and Buxton son.

Cheers

ian, sorry about your van mate. ours seems to be okay. we used the shower for lucas as we use siite facilities and hes to small for there shower but he sits down and its not on for long.

i know it seems silly but whats your door look like in the shower?.

ours its about a good inch thick and if you look at it from the outside it has a chunky silver frame and a chunky bit at bottom of the door. inside it looks seeled to the max. i will have another go when we go away next and let you know.

Hi Jo-anne

It's the CC site , Blackmore , Hanley Swan just outside Malvern.Excellent facilities. Playground for kids, I expect yours are a bit old for that. Wonderful countryside and splendid views of the Malvern Hills. It's not far from the Three Counties Show Ground.Hardstandings. For decent tv you need your sat dish. The surrounding area is great for walking and the little towns and villages are a delight.Took me just under an hour from Cricklade. I reckon it's about the same for you from Coventry.

Where's your next trip?

Whilst you were away the aluminium window frame isue arose. Every morning we had condensation. The previous Bailey had "rubber" type frames no condensation. You will see that Alex has posted Swift. He has the same problem. Did you sufer too?

Cheers

Hi Jo-anne,

Our door is exactly the same - very thick and you really have to force it to open and close so it seems to be sealing quite well. The silver frame around it is covered in sealant on the outside but this hasn't stopped the leak. The water seems to get between the two silver bars at the foot of the door.

Hopefully Swift are coming out Monday to the dealer to have another look at it.

Hope it can be sorted as in all other respects its an excellent van.

2 months!

Spoke with Swift Friday pm as this is the second trip in the van and the second trip we've cut short.

Told them I don't want to reject it as not fit for purpose, but........
