If anyone has stopped on there, is there anywhere to walk dogs? I've read a review and it seems that there's not much walking oppportunities from the site.

Thanks.

There is one Lisa, might be 100 yards longif you're lucky. Even then some dirty b*ggers had left their dogs dumps. I actually saw one woman there stand at the end of the walk and let her dog off the lead, she wasn't following it though, just waiting for it to do it's business and come back to her.

Is it a bit of a duff site then? I'm sure 100 yard area will be ok, coz we'll be taking them out with us anyway. The only prob is someone will have to stand guard whilst Daisy is in there. LOL!

We have stayed there a couple of times and its a nice enough little site not far from other Cotswold attractions. If you look here there are some pictures http://www.davidklyne.plus.com/notgrove_caravan_club_site_chelt.htm

Hi Lisa

We came back from there, this last weekend in fact!

The dog walk was not pretty, as it was raining and snowing for most of our visit.

Most dog owners - including us - walked their dogs up the long drive back to the main road. There are grass verges both sides and in grooty weather it was nice for me to walk on the tarmac of the drive rather than slip on my bum in the dog walk - done that many a time! There is a 'poo bin' opposite reception to get rid of the resulting waste.

Hope this helps

Notgrove is one of my favourites CC sites. We can get there in less than a couple of hours, even on a Friday late afternoon as it is cross-country from Northampton. As said, no facilities, but no issue to us, poor dog walk on site, but the walk a couple of hundred metres from the site, once you get past the first 300 metres, is so relaxing.

Last time we were there, I went off with the dog about an hour before darkness. So peaceful and the wildlife - saw deer in the distance, then a stag appeared from a thicket and crossed the clearing around 50 metres in front of me. A couple of minutes later, a fox was crossing a field the other side of the hedge on his night patrols.

Bliss, especially after a hectic week!

Hi Ken

Thanks for replying it sounds just what we're looking for, although any foxes may get challenged by the dogs.

Thanks again.
