Nuisance mice!

Or something.
Had 8 nights on Glen Nevis site last week, put our new (to us) Isabella Magnum Etna awning up along with its original & unmarked carpet.
Lovely week, wall to wall sunshine & good temperatures, happy as Larry.
Until…we take the awning down only to find some tiny nibbled bits of the skirt & bloody big 6” hole near the edge of the carpet along with bits of grass, as though a nest was being made. The carpet had been turned under at that edge so we didn’t notice.
How to I repair a hole in a plastic woven carpet!!??
I’m taking some traps next time.
