Numax 110ah Leisure Battery

I have a Numax 110ah Battery and am wondering if I may have cooked it. I have had the Battery for 1 year and recently have had to top up the cells with de-ionised water (about 1 ltr), although the battery has been checked with a tester in the local auto accessory shop and on the charger the reading gives full charge, when I have it fitted on the van, it can seem to struggle whilst using the Motor mover and I am now concerned that the battery is in fact nearly dead or I could in fact have a problem with the mover, as when checking with the rollers dis-engaged, they do not move on pulse mode, only during normal load (straight ahead or reverse) speed.

Before I get the mover engineer out, I need to be sure it's not the battery thats at fault and I don't know of anyother means of testing the battery, any advice will be more than welcome,

If you take it to a battery seller most of them can do a test where a piece of equipment uses a high discharge rate to show if the battery/cells are faulty.

The place you bought it should be able to do this.

Is the battery still under warranty? If it is they should replace it if faulty

If you have to replace look at an Elecsol battery, a little more expensive but does come with 5 yr warranty and deals with complete discharges better.

Martin, before you call the engineer, check the voltage at the battery when the rollers are not engaged on the wheels and see if there is a significant drop when activating the mover.

Then do the same with the rollers engaged and see what drop there is.

If the voltage drops below 12v, the mover will not respond to signals as they are very voltage sensitive.

I will try this at the week-end, although the mover seems to work alright when I use the spare 85ah Battery, this is why I am struggling to pin-point the problem,
