Numax leisure battery

Hi

Just bought a numax cxv31mf leisure battery off ebay, the seller says he bought it for a project but it was too tall. It looks brand new the terminal covers have never been removed, and I have all the receipts so should still be able to return it under warranty, charged it overnight with my optimate III charger and it is now delivering about 13v, so seems ok, but does anyone have any idea how the charge state indicator works? can see a green ball down the little tube, but does this float to the top or change colour.

Hi Graham, got the same battery as you and had the following response from the manufactuer

You should charge the battery with a 10amp charger if possible.

Indicator works as follows:

Green - Charged

Black - Requires Charging

Hope this helps

Cant remember off the top off my head but its definitly not up the top, can have a look tonight and let you know.

Don't look especially, all I needed to know was that it wasn't at the top, and that green is charged. presumably the ball floats on the liquid and as they are sealed this shouldn't change that much.

thanks again
