Gpood morning everyone

Have any forum members stayed on the above CL? It came 2nd in the 2008 National Comp.

What I am really interested in finding out is - what facilities are there, if any?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Lisa

Nice to hear from you!

I have been on the website, but there doesn't appear to be anything relating to facilities. Lovely looking site with great dog walk(s). But a tad expensive me thinks if they have no facilities.

Best wishes

Ann

Hi Ann

I see what you mean, I've also looked on the CC site, no mention of toilets/showers.

Why don't you give them a ring tomorrow? The reason I say that is because I've booked a CC CL for later on in the year and on its website and the CC website, it makes no mention of facilities other than hookup, water, elsan but I've found a review (with photos) from a reliable source and the site does in fact have a shower and toilets plus a few extra bits and bobs. I'm not sharing the site details though, as it looks lovely and is fully booked for the summer till 2012.

I've heard some good reviews of Oaklea. I've had a look on Caravan Talk and Touring and Tenting but can't find them on there but I know it was one of those sites where I first found out about Oaklea. It got glowing reviews. Maybe it might be a bit expensive but if the surroundings are as glorious as they sound, might be worth the extra couple of pounds per night?

I was over that way last month, I wish I had popped in now to check the site over.

This is top secret information.....we would hate for word to get around..but...Oaklea is great.

We spent a long weekend there last week and if you are looking for peace, tranquility, and nature on your doorstep there is nowhere better to stay.

There are no toilet blocks or showers so you have to use your own van facilities, there is a chemical emptying point and good access to electricity and water.

The owners Pam and Piotr are really lovely people.

Woodhall Spa is a great base for exploring Lincolnshire and the East coast. It is important you keep this secret. If you tell too many people it wil be difficult for us to book in for future holidays!!!

We have booked to go back at the end of September and when we booked there was still some space....so on your marks chaps...

Hope this helps! ( Oh and they are dog friendly too).
