Who gives a fig about the cost of a barrel of crude the only crudeness re UK prices is th crude amount of tax UK drivers pay.

Wit the number of cars per population our governments make Dick Turpin lool like an honest citizen.

Tesco have been doing 5p off per litre if you spend

As I said a few days ago Tesco fuel in Bridgend is approx. 7p a litre dearer than in either Cardiff or Swansea - at present there is only a Sainsbury as competition but Asda will soon be opening here and hopefully it will hit Tesco prices for six.

The fuel prices are realy getting quite stupid.

Fuel companies are making record profits and the government is doing it's best to tax the vehicles off the roads.

We take our daughter back to uni at Taunton every other sunday and as petrol is 4p cheaper there than at Leominster (Herefordshire) I run on the fumes of the tank down there to make the saving. On one occassion I only had 1.5 litres left in the tank when I filled up. Running on the M5 with the low fuel light on is realy not recommended but the cost of trying to run what is an average family car is getting just so prohibative.

I read in a national paper the other day that it is becoming more common to find that desperate people have stabbed car fuel tanks to steal the fuel.

Perhaps Mr Brown should take stock of just what pittyfull depths people are stooping to just to survive.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly do not condone theift or criminal activity, but what is starting to happen to today's society if left to continue could and will be the downfall of the great british people.

Perhaps someone should go and syphon the government cars so they get the message they seem to want to turn a blind eye and deaf ears to because they're too comfy in their overpaid and over expense'd fat cat jobs.

Well I didn't either john but I do have to take some of the blame. I voted (whispers it - Liberal) as a tactical vote so the Tories didn't get back in. Labour in our area have always been a poor third and historically was a safe Tory seat for years but after 17 years of Tory rule people wanted a change.

These have been in far too long now and was saddened to read they have another 2.5 years left :O(

Great thought - let these immigrants into the country. They can't afford the cost of living and fuel so they write back home to their powers that be in the OPEC producing countries to drop the price of crude oil as it is too expensive in the UK. There problem solved and the cost of fuel dropped.

Colin,

i have noticed the same Carmarthen is dearer than llanelli or swansea, surely being so close they should be the same price - not 5p dearer

I've been seeing petrol going down lately; now 101.9 in Pembroke Dock, and last week I filled up at 99.9 in Crickhowell of all places.

Of course there are also garages charging up to 107.9 locally, and still doing good business.

My neighboor, who is in "the trade" says that 2/3 of all garage petrol sold is not paid for out of the pocket of the person filling up, and they don't care about the price.

Combine that with people like my father in law, who has no idea what the price is because he only uses

Well here is the answer to why it keeps going up

Any green eyed political types who dare to have a go over my tow car are likely to be eating knuckle sandwich ;-)

We know where the money goes, and its not for our benefit.

I fear that this article does Mr Martin a grave disservice.

I am convinced, however, that Mick hasn't forgotten his humble origins - and whether he's spending tens of thousands of taxpayer's pounds to entertain important people in his free London residence, or speeding up the motorway is his free chauffeured limousine en-route for his

What I dont understand is the price of crude goes up today so they put th price up at the pump, but how long is it before that more expensive petrol made from that higher price crude hits the pumps, and why when crude goes down does it not go down at the pump.My daughter records her fuel in a book everytime she fills up on the 21st Feb she filled up at 101.9 on the 22nd Feb last year she filled up at 83.9 thats nearly 82p a gallon.I remember in the dark ages if fuel went up in the budget by an old halfpenny there would be queues for miles to fill up before the six o'clock deadline, but now we just roll over of course the switch from gallons to litres was a clever move to hide the severity of increases which is further masked for us old fogies by decimilisation.
