Well it had to happen didn't it. Our Ace Jubilee Equerry has just gone in for its 2nd year service and damp has been found at both ends of the caravan . Not very good really for a 2 year old van. To make matters worse this is a replacement caravan for our original 2005 Jubilee that had leaking windows that couldn't be solved. When we took delivery of this caravan the windows on this leaked as well due to the wrong seals being fitted.

I had been complaining about excessive condensation on the front wall board and mould build up on the front window sill but I was told this was just the usual condensation during cold spells and just ventilate well during use. Obviously the problem was more severe.

I am at present waiting on a call from Swift to arrange collection to send the caravan back to have the remedial work done.

Very angry caravanner

Update:

Letter of rejection has been sent to Discover Leisure. No faith in this model of caravan anymore. Makes me wonder whether there is an inherent problem with this design, by all accounts it was a good seller yet was discontinued after I think only 3 years...mmmmm

Blimy Andy,

I have just ordered a new to the range model from Swift. I collect it at the end of the month. I think a word with the dealer is required before I part with money, just to see what guarantees I get.

Thanks for that info Andy

Hi mate.

sorry to hear you have got damp but the good news is it can be repaired depending on how much damp there is and where it is as i have just recently had it happen to my mum and i had to make all the wood off and replace it around the front window and door.

As they use plywood when uilding them as it's cheap instead of hardboard. to save cash.
