Last year May 6th whilst stationary car ran into back of van ( no driver in it) . May 6th just gone coming out from my drive turning sharp left as kerb other side prevents me coming out any further , heard a noise which I thought was me scuffing the kerb until three hours later having a stop found I had clouted the concrete fence post on the drive. Have not a clue how I misjudge the distance as having done the same turn numerous times .. Cost last year to car owner insurance £950+ at moment mine is about £1500. Started caravanning 1964 no accidents from that time and now two in twelve months.

Robert, whilst thinking " what a plonker" Will sympathise with you, it just takes a very small misjudment. And it goes bad. Just don't give up.

I am afraid we can all do that but in my case it was the other driver. Went out two weeks ago and stopped at several gardens centres and when we got home found someone had caught our front wing and left yellow paint behind and some nasty scratches. To make matters worse there is also a significant dent in the back door which is probably someone hitting it with a car door. A bit of a bill coming to put them right but neither damage enough for an insurance claim.

Hi Robert_374373903,

Bad luck, sometimes we make mistakes, look on the bright side, you probably won't make a similar mistake again.

Chin up, onwards and upwards :)

My sympathies Robert. Easily done; no point beating yourself up about it. Worse things happen at sea, as they say.

OUCH!

I'd put off buying lottery tickets for a couple of weeks, things must get better though.

Same as before; chin up and stay with it.
