Old "New" vans

Hi there,
We're looking to spend around about £25/28k on a caravan.
We want end bathroom, middle bed type layout and like the look of either Coachman or Swifts.
We will probably go with a dealer just for the support as we are totally new to caravaning.
We've seen a few secondhand vans in our price range but noticed a couple of "new" 2024 vans for sale at around that price.
I assume these have been lying around the dealers for a couple of years, are there any likely problems with these vans?
I'm thinking warranty, age of tires etc.

Thanks
Bob

Old “new” vans can be a bargain as dealerships are keen to shift them. For example, in terms of Swift; then a 2025 Sprite Exclusive has better spec and a better price than the 2026 Sprite.
As far as Warranty goes, it kicks in from point of purchase so no worries there. I know this because we bought a 2022 van after the 2023 vans were on the forecourt. Tyres can be older than the van at any age of van, so have a look at the actual date on the tyres of the van you are considering. You can always use this to negotiate a bit more discount.

I think you mean twin single beds not bunk beds😜

We bought a Sprite Musketeer in 2013, but it was manufactured end 2011 and its warranty ran from date of purchase. In 2018 it developed a crack in the top right hand corner of the rear panel. All sorted by Swift dealership under warranty a new panel was fitted.
