Olympus front locker problem

Reversed on to a pitch yesterday with a slight backwards slope.Handbrake on and unhitch.Handbrake rises slightly as the van tries to move back - all perfectly normal. Then I try to open the front locker --problem.The locker door won't open as the handbreak is too far up.The handbrake has to be lowered slightly to allow the door to raise.Could be a real problem if a pitch was seriously sloping.
Again it poses the question -Do the designers ever actually try things in a real world caravan in a real situation. No doubt it works fine on a computer screen.
Anybody else found this problem?

Roger - we have an Olympus and have the same problem.
We now only keep the gas bottles in the front locker and put all the other bits in the other scattered in the other lockers

Why did they have to make three small lockers at the front. One big one was much more practical.
