Omnistor2000

Could anyone please advise on fitting an Omnistor2000 awning to a caravan,it is lighter than the type with a winding handle but heavier than the hand rolled ones,we can't use those due to disabilities.I believe it hooks in the awning rail but will have to be secured some how, many thanks.

Dennis,

I have the Fiama version on my Abbey. The awning cover is fitted with an awning bead which slides into the awning channel of the van. I feed it in from the front (as the front bend is less acute than the rear) and partially unroll the awning (only a foot or so so it is a little more flexible to go around the bend). Once you have slid it into the required position, it is secured fore and aft with a small nipple slid onto the awning channel and tensioned with the screw to prevent the whole thing moving. It sounds alot more complicated in writing than it is in practice. Needless to say I am delighted with mine and I would recommend them, particularly for overnights and weekends.
