On-board tank level gauge Elddis Crusader

The water level gauge in my Elddis Shamal shows zero until about 60% visually full. Then when full it shows 100%. When using the on-board pump the visual level goes down to about 60% but the gauge shows zero and the pump shuts down.
Any ideas about this?
 
When we had our Elddis Crusader Super Sirroco the inboard tank was fine ........ So on yours i agree with Damian what he says ......
 
Took the sensor out - looked perfectly clean but cleaned it anyway. Tested it on an empty milk bottle filled with water and bingo! Lifting up and down changed the reading on the tank level indicator from 0 to 100%.
Replaced sensor and all works fine now.

Looks like Sensor was at fault pleased everything is sorted enjoy
