I've been with them for about 5 years never had a problem.I pay £5 a month and its never gone up,keep expecting it to.It seems quick enough for me and free router, don't dump the box as if you do leave you have to return the 'free' router else they can charge you for it according to my terms and conditions.

I was with Orange for about 5 years and the prices do go up according to which "package" you have - I got cheesed off paying them £18.99 a month, so I changed to BT - cheaper!!

I haven't any experience of Orange but my son has had it for almost 12 months. He was telling me at the weekend that he cannot wait to change to another ISP. Basically he has a lot of connection problems and he said that Tech Support was useless and that's when they can get to talk to them or even understand them.
Like Wendy, I'm with BT, on Option 3. It's a little dearer than the norm but I've been with them since I got rid of Screaming Net (how many remember them) and rarely do they go down. Also they have the best connection speed for my area compared to the likes of Talk Talk, Sky, Virgin, Tiscali etc.
MacAfee suite, which comes with the BT package is excellent, apart from it's Site Advisor which causes I.E. to freeze. Easy to remedy though by disabling it in Tools>Manage Add Ons.
If you do change be aware that some ISPs aren't too keen on giving out MACs despite it being law. Also I read of lots who continue getting charged after leaving, Tiscali being one of the worse. Tiscali took over Screaming Net and I had the same problem all those years ago so it seems things haven't changed.

I am changing from Sky, the plan was to go to Orange. When i rang Orange to place my order it transpires your phone line is no longer with BT, you have to pay to switch back to BT. Orange quoted £60.I rang BT to get my line switched back it was less complicated to go back to BT for broadband and calls if a little more expensive. Sky don't tell you they take over your phone line when you sign with them.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded my broadband package with Orange, they took over my phone line - which I didn't want. I cancelled within the prescribed period, was without a telephone line for a fortnight, and unbeknown to me, Orange continued to charge me for a phone line I didn't have, for twelve months! After alot of effort on my part, (trying to make Indian phone operatives understand my problem), I eventually got my money back!

If we could get the sky broadband then we would have had that, but we can only get their inferior connect? Which is Not that good.
Been with BT for just over 4 years now [option 3] I think, and it was time to look around.
So just 3 weeks ago i phoned up BT to give them the 1 months notice we needed to give, and we were offered the same service we have had for four years, but for £5 a month less!

Our router which is also 4 odd years old, will be upgraded too, as we gave the reason that it does not function 100% reliable as a reason for moving on.Apparently they brought out a new all dancing all whistling router just last week.Good timing me thinks.

If you have a mobile accont with o2 you get their cheap broadband which is excellent as recommend number 1 by Which for some years now. I cannot fault it and have now taken their Home Phone Package which is excellent to. .
