Orange LPG gas hose

I am renewing the old gas hose from pipe to regulator - is it necessary to secure with jubilee clips and is the orange pipe compatible with both propane and butane gas - many thanks

Orange LPG hose is high pressure and is perfectly suitable for both Butane and Propane.
You MUST secure both ends with new stainless steel gas hose jubilee clips.
Ordinary jubilee clips are not suitable as they have a rough inside face , gas specific clips are smooth.

Just to avoid any misunderstanding the only hose you should even consider using "Jubilee" clips with is "from" the regulator not "to the regulator"; here it is low pressure. On the high pressure side, where used, the hose must be made with factory crimped hose ends.

if you can use the correct type of crimp on clips better and safer as jubilee clips tend to strip

The only time they will strip is when they are tightened too much!
They only need to be tightened enough to form a gas tight seal, you are not trying to squash the life out of the hose.

If this is hose to the bulkhead regulator, consider using the stainless steel hose, more expensive, but doesnt need replacing as often.

No, this is not that hose, it is the low pressure hose from cylinder mounted regulator to van pipework.
High pressure hose from cylinder to bulkhead regulator MUST be factory fitted ferruled ends. You CANNOT use jubilee clips on HP hose.

Sorry, misunderstood which hose we were referring to. It been one of those days.

Still, the Stainless HP hose is a worthwhile buy in comparison the the HP rubber.
