Orange Reflectors;Optional or law

Looking at the reflectors on side of van (1995 Abbey) they are starting to discolour, the front ones are nearly white. If it,s compulsory to have them, what is the simplest way to change them, the ones on the van look like they are fairly well stuck, don't want to ruin side of van pulling them off!!

Can I stick the new ones on top of the old ones or will they fall off? (purchased new stick on one's today)

Thank for any advice.

Not quite sure what you mean. Most vans of the age you describe did not have side reflectors as far as I am aware. This was a trend in the early 2000's and the orange reflector has a LED bulb inside. My van has 3 per side which are illuminated with the other lights. These are held in place by 2 screws each reflector.

remove sticky reflectors with wd40 orange reflectors must be at no more than 3 meters apart law on all long vans lorrys trailors ect

Thanks for the response lad's

Scotch lad-they don't light up and don't have any screw's probably

because of the age but hey when I up grade perhaps I can

have one like your's.

I will try the wd40 trick and of course remember the colour sequence.

Thanks again

you dont need to have light up orange just reflective they are mostly stick pads on back pull of reflector pull of most sticky pad clean of the rest with wd40

Sorry, I have only a cheapie Continental van which has aformentioned reflectors on each side as well as white/red upper lights and usual front and back. It is lit up like a Xmas Tree as I tow with a Volvo, so they are always on.
