Orchards IOW 'Refurb'

Hi All

We want to go to the Orchards on the IOW this summer - BUT

It seems they haven't sorted their toilet block renewal - and won't have done even by the time we want to go in July. Wow! That's some problem!

So they're suggesting that they're importing Portakabin loos.

I was wondering if anyone had experience of this kind of temporary method of sanitation on a campsite? Any thoughts?

The Orchards, though we've never been before, comes highly recommended and is in the 'Best of British' brochure, which suggests it's a top-drawer site. I'm a bit dubious about having what is essentially a posh porta-loo for my summer hols!

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Hello Mac,

I knew they were going to upgrade the toilet blocks but assumed it would all be done by the season start.

However, I am going over there this week, so will call in and see what is being proposed.

I will post again as soon as I have some info for you, direct from the owners.
