Outdoor cooking on 'This Morning' tv!

Did anyone else see the cookery part of this programme?

Phil Vickery was giving 'tips' on how to cook food 'in the open air'. He cooked a chicken casserole by digging a hole large enough to hold a big cooking pot and lining the bottom with hot charcoal. He then placed some of the hot charcoal on he top of the pan, thereby inventing an 'oven'.

I bet that would go down a whow on caravan and camping parks!

Where do they get their ideas from?

Nice one Ann,

Wonder if its covered under the 'Right To Roam' act.

Mind you by the time you had got the charcoal, the folding spade, the chicken, cool box ect. to the top of the hill that magic moment could have been lost.

Hi Ann

You ask where they get ideas form well you only got to go some where were they still live by bush craft and you see a lot of ways that you would not have throat about cooking.

Were the Charcoals were used they use rocks that have been heated up in a fire and the put the stones in the hole and couther it with leaves and sand and levee it for a hour or too.
