Outdoor Revolution Porchlite XL Awning

We've just purchased the above and took it on it's first trip last weekend - great porch awning, but are we being thick - what at the black straps for that at the bottom, there appears to be one across each side (including the the front of the caravan - are they some sort of tensioning straps and if so, what the hell do you do with them?

hi the black straps are for getting the awning square and to make sure it is even.

we have one and putting it up is a doddle with practice takes no more than 10mins.

basically once the porch is central over the door and the poles have been located peg down the corners nearest to the van keeping the black strap tight between them and positioned directly under the edge of the van, the two outer coners can then be pegged down using the other staps to get everything square and even then just peg out the skirt and storm straps.

job done BTW the two flaps that run down the side of the van have elastic in them to tension the flaps and make them wind proof.

hope this helps

You purchased a great awning, i have had one of these for a few years and it has stood up to some serious abuse, gales, snow and worst of all tree sap that got mouldy, i washed it in car shampoo and bathroom mould remover and it looked like new, didnt even need re weather proofing.

A great awning!!!
