Hi Alan
we previously had the Sunncamp Plus, but wanted more space, plus I was always wary of the horizontal pole marking the caravan, even with rubber suckers.
We were lucky enough to find a Spacelite still in stock and have now used it 3 times for weekends. It is quick to put up - without rushing, including all pegging down less than 30 minutes and I suppose if in a hurry, we could do this in 15-20 minutes. You can leave it attached to the side of the caravan, but we don't choose to and prefer to remove it from the rail when we pack up.
It is almost full awning size and we had no problems with rain, and, if it is wet when you pack up, its light enough to through in the shower and dry when you get home. The first weekend, it did have a lot of condensation first thing in the morning, but this has now stopped.
It does flap about a bit in the wind, although it was very stable and the wind 'bounced' off it. We have improved the tensioning each time, firstly by using the storm straps instead of the attached day straps, but also by being a bit more practised at tensioning it.
The side doors are not much use, but we use the front which is easy enough.
Overall, so far, we are very happy with it - almost full size, light and quick to erect/take down.
Hope this helps,
Ken
