Hiya folks,

We are really intereted in this as we are looking for an easy(ish) awning to erect.

It is a new product but wondered if anyone had seen one at a show or exibition?.

Any comments would be most welcome.

Rob,

We have just been today to look at one at Riversway Leisure Preston, I can`t see a problem putting it up and the material is very light, but folding the sides in to roll it up could be a problem, I think you`ll need two or three people to stow it back in its bag, and unless very tall the`re going to need stools, in order to reach.

We could see a row or two on the horizon and decided to stick with the frame variety which I can put up and down on my own.

don`t fancy a divorce after thirty years.

Hi,

Thanks for that. Its a shame we are not closer to Preston as I would really like to see one before buying and no-one seems to have one in yet close to me. I know it its designed to stop on the caravan awning rail, but after having seen it do you think you could take it out of the rail and fold on the ground if reaching the rail was a problem.

Thanks

Rob

Hi

sat down this morning trying to ring around for one in stock - most sold out with waiting until MAY! Managed to get one from Homestead Caravans and should have it in 48 hours. Will try it our next weekend up near Glossop!

Cheers

Thought I'd let you know how we got on with the Spacelite. Instructions basic, to say the least, but fairly straightforward to erect. We were on a very sloping pitch with the awning on our uphill side, so we couldn't get the awning as taught as we would have liked and hope that this is better on a flatter pitch. That said, it seems better slightly thicker material to the Scenic types and gave us masses of space so that we could put up a table and chairs (although the slope made it impossible to eat there).

Quick to take down and was pleasantly surprised that it did roll up easily into the attached bag which you can leave on the awning rail if you get the optional stops. We put ours away nice and dry, but if it had been wet, as its so light, we would have put it in the shower then dried it out at home.

So far so good!

Hi Rob,

having purchased the spacelite i can advise that you can take the awning off it's rail to fold away as this is what i have had to do with no problem whatsoever.
