Over night Bilbao - Alicante

I've done this journey several times, although not recently - Bilbao route has got too expensive for me. I prefer to drive through France. However - I can recomend the site at La Cabrera. From memory, it's at KM57 on the N1 (now called the A1)

we stay at aranjuez which is just south of madrid (ring road right round madrid now)on the n iv/e5.

travel using the toll road to burgos, its about 275 miles.

leave ferry at about 830 arrive aranjuez about 330pm. sounds a long way but dual carriagway all the way and travelling at about 60mph. its easy.

from aranjuez take n iv/e5 south to n301 and follow signs for albacete. single carriagway but nice, quite and dead straight then take n430 to alicante
