Over run Damper continued

I am having great trouble finding an overrun damper 260mm fully open for my early 80's van, has anyone tried fitting a new full coupling unit to an older van. I think the hole centres are differant but an adapter plate might be made to fit. Would there be any differance to the brake rods, do they pull the same as an older van?

The present coupling is a B&B Sigma 2.

Any comments appreciated.

Hi Jon, The only people i know who mat be able to help are Johnnie Longdons of Poole in dorset. They bought up all the old B&B stock.

I tried them this morning, They had one that was too long between centres& only sell to the trade.

it might be worth having a look at caravan breakers.....i use to have 1979 eccles years ago and found spares at a breakers near me

I eventually found the exact item from a firm called B&B Trailers (nothing to do with B&B chassis makers I think) The Guy was very helpull. I am rebuilding the hitch this weekend.
