hi i am new to caravanning ,,should i remove the battery from the caravan over winter? charge it up in the garage a few times maybe ?,,or leave it in ,,thanks

Hello Rob,

It's certainly wise to keep the battery well charged over winter, but if you have mains power to your caravan over winter, the caravans power supply will do that job quite well. Other wise removing it and charging at home is a fair alternative, but I suggest you get smart multi-stage charger other wise its all too easy to over charge it and damage it that way.

Ctek make some excellent chargers all-be-it quite expensive, so good alternatives are currently on sale in Aldi.

Just use it every few weeks! Much more sense than leaving an expensive resource just parked up!
