Overnight at Oustream (Caen)

Could someone please remind me of the site which is close to the docks at Oustream as you leave the ferryport.

We are considering using the ferry which arrives at 22.00 next summer and we must use a recognised site for family reasons.

I remember reading that this site remains open to accept caravans which arrive at this late time.

There is a campsite called Les Hautes Coutures, within 5 minutes of the port. The telephone number is 0231447300. Brittany Ferries, have for the past few years, offered this campsite free for those booking on the 1500 Portsmouth to Ouistreham route. May I suggest you request this at the time of booking. They do stay open until the caravans from the ferry arrive. When you arrive, request the bottom field. You will then have sufficient room to turn your outfit round and then you can stay hitched up ready for your onward journey the next morning. Also should you wish to visit Pegasus Bridge it is a 5 minute walk down the canal. This is well worth a visit
