Overnight parking at Portsmouth

Hello Peter,

Although I have never overnighted at Portsmouth, I have spoken to people who have done so. The car park does seem to be overnight-friendly. Best of luck

We usually sail from Portsmoutn at least once a year and always sleep over on the docks. There are notices around the edge saying no parking without consent but when we have phoned them just to check they consent generally to parking providing you are scheduled to sail the following day. There is plenty of room but we usually park by the fence on the left hand side as this is next to a parking area when is very well lit.

We have sailed from Portsmouth on many occasions and have always slept in the van on the dock.If youi get there about 10:30pm there are still staff about who can tell you which lane you need to be in for the morning so you can be in the correct row if you are not you will not make them happy.
It is well lit with toilets and in the morning they will give you a knock in time for the move down to the next laoding area.It is best to be up and about atbout 2 hours before the ferry is due to set sail.
