Overnight stop between Le Havre and Macon

Hi.

In early Sept we are travelling to a site near Macon and are looking to break the journey about half way, somewhere near Auxerre. I have found a minicipal site at Vermenton but does anyone have any experience of this site or any other suggestions.

We had a very nice holiday at the Municipal at Vermenton but that was 5 or 6 years ago. So a good stopover and good enough to linger longer.

Slight downside as with many municipals is that its near local sports/recreational areas and locals occasional used the facilities; however not a big issue. Good cycling area; Auxerre very interesting place to visit.
