I'm toying with the idea of going to Spain this coming winter, using the Portsmouth-Santander ferry.
(I'm finding the long haul through France in winter months a bit too arduous these days!)
It seems we shall not dock until early afternoon so I'm looking for an overnight stop about 50/100 miles out of Santander on the Zaragoza road.
Can anyone help with ideas?

There's a site at Olite south of Pamplona about 2 miles south of town. Or a better one at Sabinan off the Zaragoza to Madrid autovia just north of Calatayud. You can reach this by cutting the corner from Tafalla via Magdelon to Ricla but the road is a bit rough in places.
The municipal in Zaragoza is a bit tricky to find and may have itinerants and can be noisy.
Sabinan is very easy to find, expensive for one night but offers 3 for 2 and some good views and countryside to explore during the day. Clean toilt facilities. I've used this sie each year for the last 8.
