Overnight stop - cl's Berwick/Dunbar/A1

Hi. Is anyone familiar with the east coast north of Berwick-upon -Tweed? We're taking the van to the Black Isle in April and fancy breaking the journey somewhere before Edinburgh. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, D&D.
