overnight stop in caen

hi, can anyone advise me please if its possible to stay overnight at the port of caen and how safe is this i will be arriving at11ish many thanks ger

Hi,

You can park in the port at Caen. We did the same last year and it was safe you will hear other outfits arriving during the night. You should be prepared for an early rising around 6am as it starts to get busy.

Hi , we stay at a site called Les Hautes Coutures its 5 minutes max from the port of caen.Its easy to get to just beside the bypass, they are geared up to recieving caravans off of the late ferry [11pm]. Your not disturbed by the noisy traffic there and you can get a good shower etc before you set off. We also stay there on the way back we normally catch the 9am ferry. More relaxing than the ferry port but more expensive .Alan
