Where the A34 joins the M3 at Winchester is an industrial estate ... very basic but you'd be OK there for a few hours.
 
There is the Sutton Scotney service station on the A34 approx 7 miles north of Winchester/M3 junction 9. Or a Mike P says there is an "industrial estate" just off Jctn 9 of the M3/A34. Tesco's huge car park could be a psooibility, but watch the height barriers!! - turn into Tesco's and use the first car park entrance/exit immedieately opposite the Tesco petrol station and park up in this area and you shouldn't have any problems. For info Tesco's is open 24/7.
 
Chris if your going to stay in Tesco car park, Call in the petrol filling station first. Tell them a small fib that you are haveing problems with your caravan and Vehicle and will be gone by the morning as you are waiting for garage and so on.

Reason being because of the problems they have with Travelers they have 24 hour on site security who will move you on. Also check out if they have car park cameras as these will only let you stay for up to 2 hours. If you over stay you could end up with a
