Pageant Series 5 electrics

We have had two problems on the last to outings with our Bordeaux. The first was New Year when the mains electrics packed up altogether. The second was last month when the mains sockets packet up. The van is only 1 year old, so I took it back to the dealer on both occassions. The problem both times was with the three pin plastic connector plugs Bailey use to connect the mains wiring to and from the consumer unit. On the first occassion part of the plug and wiring had burnt out just before the consumer unit, we were very lucky not to have lost the whole van. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had a similar problem, as the dealer hinted that it wasn't uncommon. Surley if there is such a potentially dangerous problem Bailey should recall caravans to rectify it, as would happen in the motor trade.

Thanks for the warning.I will keep an eye on that on the Senator.

It would be a simple matter to replace them with screw block connectors of the correct rating so I had better put some in the spares dept!!
