pageant water pump

hi looking for some advice on water pump for bailey pageant champagne 1997,does the water pump stay on continuousley after all taps have been switched off,and you have to put the pump off and on at the main switch each time you want water, also is there a tank to put pink stuff for flush in or does flush just use clear water, cheers in advance, michael

Michael, the water pump should not stay on after the taps are closed, if it does, the pressure switch needs adjusting.

As for the toilet flush, if it is taking water from the caravan supply, then there is no place to put pink additive.

What model of toilet is it?

Just a note regarding the pink additive, it is preferable not to use anything in the flush water, unless you want bits of black algae coming through the flush system.

It is NOT essential to add anything to the flush water, after all, do you add anything to your toilet flush at home? and if you do, it probably has a bleach content, which "Pink" does not have.

when u say pressure needs adjusting where would this be just spent a whole weekend listening to my pump 🙁
oops srry should of said mines a 97 Lunar Jupitor and i have to turn the pump switch off when no water on to stop pump

There are two types of wiring for pumps - pressure switch or microswitch - in 1997 I think Bailey used microswitches.

If you have electric cables going to each tap, it's microswitched.

You'll need to disconnected each tap cable in turn, until the pump goes off, to identify which tap's microswitch has stuck on.

The microswitches can be replaced but they're a bit fiddly.

HI Michael

I have a Bailey Pageant & have had the same problem I found it to be a bad connection on the outside where the pump connection pushes in I cleaned it up with a small wire brush & opened the connector a little with a stanley blade & its been fine since,

re the pink it just goes in the flush tank when you fill the outside tank.

hello mick k,i looked all over van for a toilet flush tank and could not find one, seems the flush water comes straight from the aqua roll, also found no micro switches near taps but found a pressure switch down near pump, now need to know if to screw it in or out, michael
