we have just bought one that has never towed before, so the question is 4wd or 2wd??

Most Paj owners tow in 2wd. Have a look on POCUK forum as there is a good section on caravanning and towing with Pajero's.

No, I loved the Pajero and the only reason we sold it was because our son wanted to lean to drive and it was an auto so not suitable. It was a good towcar and brilliant in the snow and offroad, it was dead easy to drive, gave a good driving position and had all the toys.

It was one of the most enjoyable cars we have ever owned. They are an outstanding vehicle for what they cost. Mine was a direct import from Japan.

Brilliant. (mpg not too good though!)

Hi Tina,

We tow with a 3.2 shogun and the handbook and warning label say's you must tow in 4FWD. So as to not put too much strain on the drive system.
